The song  The Last Rock And Roll Star is from Paul Gilbert’s collaboration with Freddy Nelson – United States (Mascot/2009).

The first third of the solo is achievable by mere mortals.  Part two is a great alternate picking exercise and the third part is, well, a reversed version of a recorded solo.  So, good luck there.
