That’s right, we’re Getting Ready to put on a production of Jason Robert Brown’s 13. I’ll be merging the Guitar I & II books, which is one of my favorite things to do!
This time out, I’ll be using a few new toys – the Fractal Audio AX8 and the super light-weight Matrix FR12. Both sounded great in rehearsal last night, but I’m sure I’ll be tweaking things until the last minute.
I hope to get time to do a rundown of the patches to show what the AX8 can do. As you can tell by the lack of updates to this site, it’s been busy around here. More about that later!
As I described in a previous post, I swapped out my large guitar rig for a smaller and more versatile Fractal Audio Axe-Fx II mid-way through preparations for Jesus Christ Superstar. I was excited when I landed the guitar part for Superstar and immediately started planning the perfect guitar rig to cover the varied sounds in the show.
